I was using a baby bass crankbait.

Jointed shad rap... Forever and always my most successful crank. I love me some 6th Sense and others, but that jointed Rapala is my tried and true.

Nice!! This post makes me happy =) I've been fishing since I was a kid but I never really started going by myself until 2014...I have learned to really love my solo time on the water! Good to see another girl getting after it on her own! (Only mentioning gender cos I'm also a woman, and I never see other women fishing solo. I wish I did more often!)

I used to live in Virginia Beach. My wife and I would fish the piers there and the Outer Banks.. Every so often a woman would fish alone, but my wife and I would take bets on how long it would be until some guy started bothering her.

This is why I don’t fish alone. It’s really upsetting because my fiancé doesn’t like to fish, so I rarely get to go. I bring pepper spray and stuff, but I never get to relax because I KNOW some older man is going to come bother me. :(

That solo time outdoors when I'm fishing or hunting is the most valuable part of the experience. Away from distractions, technology, people. You can find some real peace out there and truly find yourself if you allow yourself to.

It really isn't too common to see women fish, especially alone. Every spot I fish, I've never seen a single woman. Nice to see you enjoying it.
