Can anyone recommend a brand of decent, water resistant gloves for cold weather fishing? I bought a pair by Palmyth, fingerless with an attached mitten, but the finger holes were uncomfortably tight. Swapped em out for Kastking gloves with slits/Velcro for thumb, index and middle fingers, but they didn’t do much to keep my hands warm when I wore them around outside yesterday. I’ve looked at about a bazillion brands and read that many reviews, but figured you guys would be the best resource. Thank you!

I purchase a pair of rubber coated work gloves a Dollar Tree for $1.25 and they are great for Herring fishing.. If they get slimy or wet all you have to do is wipe them off..

On cold days I use snowmobile gloves to drive the boat . Rubber with gloves to fish with on cold days. Sometimes deer skinned leather gloves on colder days for fishing. In the heat under armour fishing gloves to help prevent skin cancer. As well as sun shorts and face and neck masks.

Looking at them now, OJ, thanks. I was thinking that the ones w/open fingertip options would be more practical. It’s been clumsy, for me, to maneuver the reel and line with regular gloves. Thoughts? Tips (as in…fingertips, hahaha)?

Thank you…looking specifically to keep my hands warm. Are you able to manage the reel and line with regular (vs. fingerless option) gloves?

I usually use the ones without finger on my right hand on bait casters as I'm right handed

I also use glove liners by under armour fishing. Then a light pair of Manzella gloves designed for bow hunting and turkey hunting

They do make some in different weight for not so cold temps. I have only had success with the warm weather fingerless, but those are mostly for protection from the sun and are breathable…not water resistant.
You may want to try a pair of rubber dipped gloves and cut the tips off?
There may be some fingerless with the mitten cover, too.

I use fingerless wool ones with the rubber dots for grip. If it's too cold for them, it's too cold for me. LOL

I don't know where that spell check change come from gortex decoy gloves with thin finger and under armour glove liners they are thin enough to get a good feel of rod and reel

Not too cold where I live. Can’t fish the way I like with gloves on because I walk the bank and cast a lot. Never tried fingerless ones but pocket hand warmers instead of gloves might be a cheap solution.
