Yep saw it on the news this morning.

Had that happen to me. But the wife called the grandson and he answered. "They let you keep your celol phone in Jail?"
"What are you talking about, Grandma?" "A man saying he was your lawyer called and said you were in Jail".
"What!" No, grandma."
I did report it to the local FBI Office. All the phone numbers were from here in Maryland, but they said they and he were in Georgia. I admit that they had a good story, but I did not believe it that much. They wanted cash and not a certified check from the bank for his Bail. Red flags to me.
Way to go, Grannie! Just Sayin..RJS

I haven’t seen that one but you should watch my, 93 year old, Mom give em a once over. “Why don’t you get a job?” A young man called her one time “hi gramma this is your grandson. I’m in trouble and I needs some money. Can you help me out?” She asked “which grandson? I have lots of em”. He replied “it’s me gramma. Don’t you recognize my voice?” She said “is this Charles?” He said “yes gramma. It’s Charles” she said “I don’t have a grandson named Charles. Grow up and quit trying to steal money from old people”. 😂

It’s good the police wanted to get involved and do what they did. May of helped to be a local person that worked with them. Generally federal and any other level of LE say just do not engage with them or ever give them anything.
I saw it this afternoon. I like the way the police slammed his face to the ground.
I got a scam call this morn, caller ID even said it was my Drs. office and #, but when the guy on the phone could barely speak English, I hung up and then reported it! What would happen if it was a very elderly person and didn’t compute it was a scam! 🤬🤬🤬
