Lol. Thanks buddy but are you sure are those are legal on the Columbia River. I’m just putting out feelers for a friend. If you have some good tips PM them to me will ya? You’re the guy I was hoping would respond👍. But any current info would be very helpful. He’s getting ready to head down there soon. I haven’t fished the Columbia for salmon and steelhead for about 4 years. It’s a ways for me now. Probably not as far as Gillette but you know what I mean.🥴

Hope it’s not too soon he’s going, here’s the fish counts, couple steelhead. pretty slim over Bonneville. Few more lower but any tributary east, north forks Lewis or cowlitz we considered good day if we got one in the boat this time of year……..

You really need to chck the current regs. There are several salmon runs up into the Columbia Basin but I think they are pretty much over for now. Weighted treble hooks are not legal. Steelhead season this year was a bust and really not open except above Lower Granite near Lewiston ID. There are specifupic rules on various sections of the rivers and streams and also on gear. Read. I think there is a new season for salmon n the lower Columbia but check to be sure.
