Ridiculous! I can remember the words to most of those songs, but I can’t remember where I put my glasses.
Great stroll down memory Lane.
Thanks, Charly

As long as you don't get tripped up on the cobblestones.
Thanks Charly for a great flashback. I was only 8, became a big Roy Orbison fan by his releases that year ("Cryin'" is STILL one of my "faves of all time")....... but also still remember begging my parents for some "white bucks", like the ones Pat Boone wore !

Same here... I was 12 years old, hard to believe I know the lyrics of the first 10 except Booby Vee's. Will listen to the balance on car ride tomorrow.Maybe store this in-my phone later. Have a young friend whose GF is always busting my stuff, when I play do-wop, or big band or classic rock... She's 30 something and sez : Maxx, can't ya play something from THIS century ? I LMAO....
Most of the full versions of these are probably available on YouTube music. Free too !

Nutz, just tell that young lady that was when music was just that. Not the amplified noise of this century.
I have a pin-on button that I wear every once in a while when I know I will be around younger folks and may be subjected to their music, as much of it (like hip-hop and rap) is abhorrent to me.
It reads........
"It's not that I am old.... Your music really does suck."
When I show it to them, up close enough to read, I usually get a nervous chuckle, followed quickly by either a reduction in volume or they simply change songs or artists. I always figure either move is their feeble attempt at showing some amount of "elder respect" and always let them know that I appreciate the effort......and the next day or next time, I strive to remember my Bluetooth earbuds !
