I’ve fished Flaming Gorge a lot but never for Kokanee. I’ve got a good fishing buddy that lives down there. He calls me a couple of times a week and texts me even more. I’ll put a bug in his ear about Kokanee and get back to ya. If anybody knows that reservoir it’s gonna be my buddy Egghead. He’ll be here perch fishing with me in a couple weeks too so I’ll try to get all the info I can. 👍

Welcome to the stage. I am envious of your planned trip to Flaming Gorge. My mom used to successfully fish there for kokanee, unfortunately she has passed and is no help, neither am I any help.

Hello Rock. Welcome to the forum. My wife & I spent a day driving around & admiring Flaming Gorge but never wet a hook. Some of the best looking fishing water I've ever seen. Good luck & tight lines.

Wyoming, fish out of buckboard bay, watch the boats guys/gals at bait shop will help.

Utah, sheep creek boat ramp fish the red cliff area.

Utah, cedar springs marina, fish north side of lake from Jarvis bay to Carter Creek.

Fish are usually from 80 to 150 plus feet, anywhere from 10’ to 50’ down. Troll between 1.5 and 2 mph.

Good luck!
