Anyone across the state have any good ice fishing stories from different places. I'm in Lorain county and I will be sharing till ice out.

I grew up on East Harbor but never ice fished. My uncle ran a charter out of there called Reef Snooper and rented 2 cottages that he still owns and a dock just west of Sandy Shores. 1st dock outside of their breakwall. My parents own a place in Sandy Shores. Caught some of my best crappie in the harbor. An occasional northern as well.

My buddies where out there last weekend. Catching gills. Had about 5-6 inches of ice.
I’m heading out Sunday. Not sure where we are going to go. I’ll post any info I get. I know we are planning to check out a few places Saturday and then fish Sunday. Got a report this morning that Wellington had 4” of ice. No one fishing it yet.

Best all around fishing in Ohio is in the East Harbor in IMO. It’s not near what it was 20 years ago but still a great fishery!

I never got into ice fishing. I have a buddy that does ice fish when there's good ice. I've been after him to take me. I might just have to try it on my pond. I'll have to get me a pole😀

We got em Saturday morning from 530 to 930 off the east harbor state park kayak ramp. 6 inches of ice. There were over 200 shanty I bet. Jigs and wax worms, swedish pimple, live shiners. 6 feet of water.

Nice! You should create a new post. Everybody loves to see fish pics. If you just post it on this thread the only people that see it is those of us who responded or hit the watch button.
