The striped bass are Maryland's Chesapeake Bay breeding fish and can be caught all year long, but the fishing season is closed from mid December thru April at this time by DNR because of stock concerns. A saltwater fishing licence is required but if you charter boat fish you will not need one. Come on down! We have great cat fishing in the upper bay and good fishing for Rockfish!
