Hi First post ! Moving to NC and have 2 boys that want to catch some fish.. we've tried but so far have been shut out. We've tried some frozen shrimp, various lures including some bass lures...no luck! any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to keep these kids focused on the positive side of this move.

Gratefully Jim

Good mornin', Jim, welcome to the Forum. Are you fishing fresh or salt?

Welcome to the Stage Jim. We have some excellent anglers down your way, they should be able to help you find some productive areas to take your kids.

I guess it would be brackish salt. Also I'm on the water and have a dock about 150ft out into roughly 6 to 10 ft tidal depths.

It's just the name of the forum, lots of like minded people. We have everything from bluegill fishers to offshore anglers. Great group of anglers. Look around a little, I think you'll like it.

Jim- Try fresh shrimp or live mud minnows in Adams Creek. Speckled trout & redfish abound.
