Sorry guys, fell asleep. Back awake now but you're probably sleeping. Woke up with that urge to go again. Nothing happening. This is crap.

Hey buddy. So sorry to hear you can't sleep again. When are you scheduled for surgery?

What I do not know about TURPs is whether they ever have to be repeated.

Up at 1 am. Supposed see doc at 8:30 am. Feel like I gotta pee but haven't drank since supper at 5:30. Same feeling I had when I ended up in the ER. Got a feeling that I'm looking at a catheter again unless I can pee later.

Anybody up?

Watch it closely. That is how my prostate cancer first appeared. By the time the docs figured it out I also had it in right hip, two ribs and bladder. PSA was through the roof.

Have responded well to treatment; PSA 0.56 last time I had checked. Still occasionally have some issues with peeing but cancer is in check for now (will eventually come back). Every man over 50 needs a PSA check at least once a year!

Additionally, I found sitting in the bath tub with the water as HOT as I could stand helped not only with the discomfort but allowed me to pee. But this is only temporary.

Medicare won't pay for more than one PSA test per year. After getting stiffed a couple of years ago, I have my PSA checked every 53 weeks.
