First, Google the Texas Game and Fish Commisssion and then download their monthly chart for Salt Water. That is the most current report for every Texas salt water spot.

Personally I have always done well in the Boliver Pocket, having limited out on trout there more than once. I do not know how it will be this early in the year.. There could be some big reds in the Galveston channel. Just Sayin...RJS

I get Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) weekly fishing reports for both fresh and saltwater.
In fact, I just read the freshwater trout stock schedule for 2022.
Anyway, just looking for some personal experience. In early Nov this year, my sons and grandson caught 3 bull reds just inside north Galveston Channel. Used our tags to keep them.
