Been a few years now , I was waiting to order.
A girl , well young woman. Probly mid 20s walks in and she immediately caught my eye. She reminded me of someone.
Looked again and sure enough, this girl was spitting image of my daughter. Same build, same eyes, same face , same sunglasses on forehead, Coulda been her sister.
However , we are Caucasian; and this girl was African American .
The likeness was so striking I turned to her and said “ I know this might sound wierd , but you look a lot like my daughter “ explained the skin color thing , but she was pretty cool about it.
Told her she looked pretty and let it go. Got my food and left
Didn’t wanna be more a creepy old guy than I already was.
Called the daughter next day and told her she had a twin
It’s been said Ben,that everyone on the planet has a twin somewhere
Well, if we have a twin somewhere on this planet, I feel sorry for the rascal. Just Sayin...RJS
I believe the most beautiful female I have ever seen was a tall young black female, perhaps 25 to 30 in a bus station in Fort Worth. Just Sayin...RJS
i actually met mine when I was a sophomore at Northeastern. Not only did we look alike we were wearing the same kind of pants and I told him I also had a shirt that matched his. we had fun screwing with people for a couple of months. He did not return the following semester
I had a sales guy call me at work from Miami Beach.
He was there on vacation with his family and he swore he saw me walking in the beach.
Called to make sure it wasn’t me.

I’m gettin to where I obviously notice skin color but it don’t mean anything. People are people.
Treat me with respect and you will get the same in return.
This goes for race , religious affiliation and sexual orientation or social economic status
I wasn’t raised that way. But the more people I meet, the more I believe there are a lot of genuinely good people out there.
There are also a lot of not so good people out there.
I avoid these kinda folk.
Had a boss tell me once “ surround yourself with good people and you will be successful and happy “

My Dad met his at a Masonic meeting in Eugene, a Dr. with the same last name. Shook the Dr. up so much he left. Mine lives in Alsea Or. others have told me. Haven't met her yet.
Met a bartender here in Dayton. Had to do a double take. Looked exactly like my son.
Brought my wife in and she freaked out
Son a few years later moved to Dayton.
They met each other.
Well my son and this guy had active “ social “ lives.
They had both been ripped by women the other had somehow
“Disappointed “ the woman in recent days. No call back , etc. ya know.?
My son on one occasion had to show this young lady his drivers license and have some one else vouch for who he was.
Awkward.
My Uncle was driving home from work one afternoon. He passed the school that his daughter went to, and school had just let out. A block and a half later, he saw his daughter, so he pulled up next to her, pushed the door open, and said "Hop in, I'll give you a ride!"
................!...*...*...!...it WASN'T his daughter! We teased him for weeks about being a dirty old man!
I had heard for years I had a twin working as the bartender at a local supper club. Well I finally went there with my wife a few years back and I was pretty shocked at how much he actually did look like me. No way we could have done each other's jobs though. He knew nothing about cars and I have trouble making a Jack and coke without getting too much of one or the other. We had a great time chatting together with him and have been back several other times.

I met mine when I lived in Nashville. Everyone kept calling me Nancy. I finally met her and she was also a musician. Piano player. Maybe one inch different in height but we really did look alike!
Ben,
Years ago I stopped by the office on my day off. My partner introduced me to his patient who was significantly older than I. The patient kept saying "I know you" but we had never crossed paths. John, who knew my dad, finally figured it out. This gentleman was in my dad's army air corps unit in WW2. They were in basic training together and even went to England together. Not quite the same but still a fun story for me.
