I've never used it Charlie, but I've seen a few boats redone with it. If properly installed it seems to work very well. I've seen it used on center consoles, to cover cracked molded in non skid. I've also seen it used to replace worn out carpet in bass boats. In both cases it provided excellent non skid, and cushioning. Also, unlike carpet, hooks don't get snagged, and it doesn't get saturated when wet. It's not cheap, but like they say, you get what you pay for. It can be custom cut to fit, and can be customized, for instance with the name of your boat engraved or branded into the surface. Pretty cool stuff.

I cannot imagine why they would put carpet in a boat. It would be so nice to hose it down or pressure wash it and have it dry fairly quickly.

I have carpet in my boat. It cuts down on the noise and provides great traction. I just vacuum it after it dries and I am good to go.

Unfortunately we sometimes don't see the sun for weeks at a time and then the green stuff starts to grow. Also with salmon blood etc. It needs a good hosing at the end of the day.

That’s exactly why I took the carpet out of my boat…🐟on

The guys at the Marina where I keep my boat frequently use it on high-end boat re-do's and it looks fantastic. It is quite pricey though. Hector swears by it however and says customers are always thrilled with it. He sure has created some totally "customized" decks with it.
