Looking for tips fishing Round Island area.
Indaholen1: Watch for seagulls diving. They are targeting shrimp forced to the surface by schools of trout. If you have a boat, get over there quick. Approach from the upwind side, cut your engine and let the wind bring you to casting distance. Spoons, small jigs, almost anything will work as long as they remain in place, but this scene usually moves so you may have to use a troller to keep up.
Otherwise, a live shrimp on a rig under a popping cork works best, in my opinion. Just Sayin...RJS
Thanks so much for your advice. I set up a rod today with the poppin cork. Getting my shrimp tomorrow and trying out your advice.
