Life is different for everyone. I think i know something about alot of things. Certainly not everything there is always more to learn. When you see someone driving a car and blowing though a stop sign, are you quick to judge or do you ever wonder if they just got some very bad news involving their life or the life or death of a loved one? We never know how much we don't know.

BLOWING THROUGH A STOP SIGN……absolutely not!!!! What if your wife and kids are about to enter that intersection. There’s no excuse to be able to do that…IMO🐟on

I'm with you there Dave. I lost a great riding buddy (and father of 2), as we rode thru a GREEN light. Somebody who's mind was elsewhere, ran thru the RED light.

But I do get your point…

Exactly, Fred. That’s why I decided to hang up the leathers and sell my scooter. Way to many “distracted” drivers these days and I’ve got more life to live and not have some idiot deprive me of that. It’s just a shame that we have to give up things we love doing just to protect ourselves from others…🐟on

I hear ya Dave. I've cut down on the miles, but not ready to hang it up yet.

Mostly guys from work, and a few I used to hang out with Fin. I couldn't take it anymore, so I avoid them when I can. You can show people only so much, and when they deny what they see with their own two eyes, I throw in the towel. Life's too short to get another ulcer, dealing with know it alls.

You said a mouthful Fred. I had a foreman in construction that thought everything we did should be done exactly like he did. He knew everything. I told him everyone has there own way of getting to the same end. As long as it's done right to me that's what matters. Just like FS. I don't tell people they're wrong how they do things. I just say what works for me. I'm always willing to learn new things. Some things here I'm going to try this season. I have no desire to force my will or beliefs on anyone.

Yep it is. I haven’t been on mine for several yrs. I started taking the tag off the other day. Was going to turn em in. I couldn't do it. I know my left hand n sometimes my leg gets numb when I'm driving. Could go bad riding but I just think I have to try again. I don't like the idiots either. It was good stress relief in the passed. I'd take off get some heat in her n then turn her loose. Something about 100+ that calmed me down. 👌👌

I did the same thing when I moved to Oregon Dave. I had a restored 68 generator Shovelhead. Rode it for years in Wyoming. Never missed a Sturgis Rally. After about three rides in Oregon it was gone or I was gonna be. I lost three close friends in a year there and none of them were doing anything wrong. Nobody watches where they’re going there and bikes are not seen by all the distracted drivers there. Some places are just not for bikes.

Everyone’s life and experiences are different. What’s “right” to one can be entirely wrong to another. All we have to do is look around to see how clear that is. I’m probably wrong about one thing or another every day. I’m grateful for the chance to learn from it.
Good post, G. Thanks for asking.

Kinda sad so many don't think that way.

Me to brother. When I had a bad day I'd take her out get my rush go back n get Bug or Brody n take a nice ride. It's definitely more dangerous now days. I've got to try riding again. I've had this this bike since 89 told myself many times I'd sell it. Just can't do it. Sentimental old man 👍
