Let me be clear - this post is NOT about race or race relations. Okay, got that out of the way. Hopefully.

The older I get the more questions I have about a variety of things. I used to be a black and white guy. No shades of gray. Things were either right or wrong. This way or that way.

As I got older, I realized people and circumstances aren't that simple. There are plenty of reasons why things happen or why people behave a certain way.

If you have things all figured out in your life, more power to you. If you know the answer to everything, fantastic. I don't.

I'm amazed by the number of people that do. They know everything and have all the right answers to life's questions. They are seldom if ever, wrong. Ask them.

Are you one those people? Be honest. Just asking.

Many have told me I am too Black and White. I think there is right and wrong.

I want to learn every chance I get. If there is something I want to understand I will ask people and research the truth.

There is no way anyone can know everything. I know for sure I can never achieve that. An open mind knows there is always something to learn.

Good post G.

I’m not but I know a guy who is. He’s done everything that’s been mentioned and better than anyone else. He has the answer to every question on any subject mentioned (googled of course) but he’s the pro at anything and everything. And he will ALWAYS tell you that you are wrong and he is right. It doesn’t matter what the topic is or where it is. Heck if I tell him my lawn is green he’s gonna tell me it ain’t. I can send him a picture and he will say I’m lying. He’s been there, done that and you’re not going to tell him an different. That has to be such a miserable life being focused on trying to make other people think he is so intelligent that he is constantly attempting to put others down over everything and only makes himself look more stupid, insecure and dishonest every time he opens his trap. I feel for him but I just can’t reach him.

First…..
I can only assume you are using a bit of sarcasm in your statements when you say there are a “number of people that … know everything and have all the right answers to life’s questions.” I believe there is only one person, unless you are referring to the trinity, in which case , that would make three. That “one person” is God!
NO human on earth knows everything or has
ALL the answers to life’s questions. That’s as “black and white” as it gets.
It is my belief that God has given us the Bible as an instruction manual for our lives, and it contains MOST of the answers to life’s questions. If we READ this book, FOLLOW it’s instructions, and LEARN from the stories and experiences of those in the Bible, we would ALL benefit. The more we read, the more we know how to handle life. While on earth, we will ALL make mistakes and none of us will know everything or have all the answers. I have tried it both ways and have found that learning from God and the Bible works better for me than trial and error. I still make my share of mistakes, but somehow God gets me through them and brings joy and hope to my life.
When the day comes when I finally meet Him, face to face, I WILL BE PERFECT !!! 🙏🏻

I'm happy for you. Just to clarify, the post was asked about people who THINK they have all answers. Maybe I should have spelled that out better. No sarcasm, just a question. Interpret as you choose.

I didn’t try to interpret what you were “thinking”; only what you wrote, and you didn’t say “THINK” ….
That’s why I suspected sarcasm. Re-read your post…. You’ll understand why I said that.

No need. Everybody that responded knows what I meant. I repeat - just a question.

Just an answer.
Since you always make a point of emphasizing what you “actually say or don’t say”, I was just trying to be as literal as possible in answering your question, while letting you know I felt you were being sarcastic and not literal.
I too, thought that’s what you “meant” but well…… you know how many times I’ve been wrong about that too….
