Some English Setter pups

A guy I work with at the shop just had a new litter of pups ( his dogs, not he himself). They’re absolutely adorable, he’s going to bring them into the shop in a few more weeks, let them run around and sell them(they’re hunting stock pups). I don’t think they’re going to last too long but will enjoy their company while they’re there.

Beautiful pups, but I had better not show my Wife. My GSP is 13 and she may be our last one for a while…I think…

Best dog I ever had. My knee surgery in Oct kept me on the sidelines for a while, but my Son got her out for about a dozen birds. I got out for about half a dozen, the last one on New Years Day. Very stubborn if there is a bird around…she will not give up until it flushes…or she catches it. It sucks when the birds gets away, though. Sam gives me the WTF look 😡 after the miss. Lots of memorable points over the years!

I missed the first bird she pointed…🤦🏼‍♂️
I waited with her on a leash (she was 8 months old) as a group of 5 guys with 3 labs were in a field in front of us, heading West into a strong breeze. I waited until the group passed by about 75yds and let her loose. She ran around like a pup and started huntin’ in about 30 seconds, nose to the ground and snaps to a rock solid point. I didn’t take it serious as that big group just went through. Sure enough, a rooster busts out in front of her nose, rose up, turned downwind and turned on the afterburner as I fumbled with the safety. I missed him clean and got “the look” as if to say “REALLY?” I deserved it…and never doubted her again.

Kandy, if you’re serious I’ll let you know once they’re in the shop. I don’t know what he’s going to ask for them just yet but they come with extremely strong bloodline. West Orange is not that far away from the shop.

No, thanks though. I plan on travelling a lot once this Covid is settled. Wouldn't work.

Yeah, good idea Kandy. They really need to run each day.
