Stranded hunter

Did anyone else see the story about the Inuit hunter who was chasing a herd of caribou on the Canadian tundra when his snowmobile broke down and was stranded for 5 days in a blizzard? He survived below zero temperatures but had both frostbitten hands amputated! He said he can't wait to go hunting again and a photo shows him in the hospital smiling. Incredible!!!

He should have known not to go out by himself in that type of weather. That is not a good thing.

If anyone knows survival its the natives. Blizzard probably saved his life, fresh snow is a great insulator. Something must have happened to his mittens.

When he left the weather was fine. His snowmobile broke down 48 kilometers from town. As he was walking back is when the blizzard started.

Yes, it said he was going to build an igloo but the wind blew his mittens away.

I wonder why he didn't have thongs to keep his mittens about him even when he took them off? Now, without hands, how is he going to hunt, shoot, and skin animals? Going to be a tough life. Just Sayin...RJS

Hey RJ. This guy said he can't wait to see his steel hands!!!! In the photo in the hospital he looks happier than the people who picked the winning numbers in last night's lottery!

I’d be smiling, he’s warm, dry, getting good food and somebody looking out for his injuries.
