Anybody awake on the WC yet? I'm up again and trying to deal with this catheter and infection. Fun. Fun.

Yes. Still uncomfortable but I need that catheter out. Comes out tomorrow. Then I need to pee for the doc and we will go from there on surgery I hope.

Have you had any biopsies yet, Greg? What is your PSA number? My prayers are with you, my friend. Sleep tight.

Biopsy about 6 or 7 years ago. Negative. Don't know PSA number. Probably between 16 and 25. Won't agree to another biopsy. Not necessary. TURP will be tough enough.

I hate to tell you any news like this after all the beeeep your going through but those PSA numbers are very high from my Prostate cancer experience. The really beep..ty thing about Prostate cancer is biopsy is the only way they will ever find cancer.

I suggested once and will tell everyone about it until I’m down under.

If Dr suggests a biopsy force them to give you a FUSION biopsy. Think of Prostate as a golf ball. The cancer tuners can be any of the dimples on it. A fusion biopsy takes a picture of the golf ball and each dimple is in detail. It is just an MRI. Then the biopsy Dr can take samples ( biopsies) of just the dimple in question. I had several biopsies and know exactly why you are avoiding it. The cancer wasn’t found in me until the fusion type.

My PSA was 8.5 and rising when I was diagnosed to have cancer. I was told I would probably live 5 years but no way I would make 15 years. I had already lived a full life even though this grandchild thing was something I hadn’t experienced. I really hope you will get some comfort soon. My dad still has P Cancer and bad. He had it removed. I know as far as you know you don’t have it.

I know something else I learned and that is PSA may be high due to your infection. I hope that why. The thing people say is all men will have Prostate Cancer when old is true but many die from it or when it spreads that’s why they say it won’t kill them. It’s because it goes into bones and blood and then that’s what gets them. I sure hope you get better soon buddy.

I woke up at 3, have pain in shoulder muscle. I would start going to sleep and I would wake myself up snoring. I got up 5 ordered meds, now drinking coffee and dealing with shoulder pain. Good luck to you. Hell getting old.

Get checked for sleep apnea, then get a CPAP if apnea is severe. You will be amazed at how good you feel waking up after a full nights sleep using a CPAP. Takes time getting used to it but worth it.

Also be sure you have the best urologist/surgeon.

Absolutely. I can’t sleep without it. I also take Melatonin every night.
