Treble to single hook crankbait question

Does a crankbait specific rod (medium/moderate action or glass crank rod) still work well with single hook?

Or is a firmer action better for single hook lipped or lipless cranks?

It should. If you’re fogging to do that I’d change to a wide gap circle hook.

I can not see that it would make any difference. That is just an opinion, as I have never given it enough thought or collected data to justify that opinion.

Crank bait rods are designed to fish crank baits. They have a medium heavy action and a slower tip. You also can fish a spinner bait with them. With rods are designed heavy action and a fast tip.
