I know I must have missed a lot of you , so to all, Best wishes for a great year ahead. We all will suffer some kind of disappointments and setbacks in the course of this year. Let's all be supportive of each other to help us get through the tough times, and on the other hand, we can celebrate our small accomplishments and victories together.
This is a fine group, and I thank you for accepting me and my shortcomings since I became actively involved here.
That was one I actually got right! < nutz4fish >

The best forum that I’ve ever found. Everyone on here embraces everyone elses problems and acccomplishments as if it were their own. A finer group of people can’t be found. I am glad to be a part of something that is so very important to everyone else. Happy new year and good health to everyone here

I don't know why but "2022" sounds like an "Over-Under" to me.

Maybe its just early.

No, I believe you're right ! If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Ithaca made
a nice little O/U with a .22 caliber
top barrel and your choice of either
a .410 or 20-gauge lower barrel
'break-open' model ! It was a nice
little gun, moderately-priced, and
a good beginner's gun for younger shooters !

Also a football betting line for total scoring.

I have the Ithaca but I’m not a betting man

Gambling ? Once in a great while !
Sometimes would be allowed to
go to the track with Dad as a kid depending on which track he went
to as some tracks allowed minors
(with an adult) and some didn't !

From where we lived, he could drive 20 minutes to Rockingham Park
(Salem, N.H.), about an hour to
Suffolk Downs (near Boston), or
about 90 minutes to Scarborough Downs (near Old Orchard Beach
in Maine) ! He would sometimes
give me the racing sheet and let
me pick horses in one or two
races - one day I picked three
winners out of six races !

That said, I made the mistake
as a newlywed to go down to
Rockingham Park one Saturday afternoon to try my luck - well
that didn't go as expected ! Lost
most of my paycheck before
paying rent and groceries,
mostly from trying to recoup my losses from the first three races -
that was a (harsh) lesson learned !

Since then it's been two, five or
ten-dollar bets on football games once in a great while - last week
I made $5.00 on the Colts/
Cardinals game !First time betting
in many years - may try again during the play-offs and Superbowl games, but that's it !

Maybe one day in the not-too-distant future I may make the five-hour drive to 'Lost Wages' for a long week-end and try my luck at the blackjack
tables (BIG James Bond fan - don't know baccarat or chemin-de-fer, but usually do well at blackjack) !
I only have one system (hard and fast rule) that I use - set a limit on losses and then walk away - if I win a few pots, then I use my winnings first and walk away if I start losing again ! No more nonsense about trying to regain my losses - once my limit is reached,
then I'm gone !

Guess I gave the impression that I'm a big gambler. I lay down 8 to 10 or so modest bets annually, and have a decent track record, meaning I didn't lose it ALL. We just got sports gambling legalized here in Connecticut, so thats open to me, but the indigenous Americans don't need my business. Can't say more about this publicly. There is one team sport that I follow avidly, and sometimes can find a matchup, including point spread, that is attractive enough to wager on. Thats about it for me.
Have seen several friends and aquaintences ruin their lives with compulsive gambling. If you can get away with doing it and not spiraling out of control, great. If not you may be in for a wild ride.
