Welcome Jzdroik. Spent most of my life in WI before moving to TN. Never got into ice fishing. Did plenty the rest of the year. I don't miss WI winters but I know guys love their ice fishing.
Ice fishing to cold for me I also like in the Milwaukee area just moved from north west AZ already waiting for spring to go fishing don't know where but will have all winter to figure it out. Looked on the map app your about 2 hours from me. Looks like you have a lot of fishing place to choose from.

Welcome to the forum. Tried stiff water fishing a few times many years ago. Too hard to cut a hole big enough for casting.
