I took my turtle to the vet with a bad cough. The vet gave me some medicine to give to the turtle for the cough. "Come back and see me in a week if he isn't better, " the vet said. I came back a week later. "He's still coughing," I told the vet. "Well, there's one more thing I can try. He rapped the turtle on the shell and the coughing stopped.
"That's great, I said. He stopped coughing. He looks a little dazed and confused though. Oh, the vet said, I forgot to tell you. There's one side effect. What's that?" I asked.
"He's shell-shocked."
