Mono/fluro recommendations for baitcasters. Plz
Hello fellow anglers, I’ve always had issues with line other than braid on my baitcasters. My line setup consists of couple yards of mono as backing then 20-30 braid and fluorocarbon leader. The issue that I run into is that I’m too lazy to tie a new leader line. I’m looking for the line with the least memory as possible for a cheap price. Thanks

Never go cheap on line it's the best connection to the fish you have. Most trouble with braid lines is that people don't take the time to read the manufacturer recommendations such as put a monofilament backing on the spool then attach the braid . If you don't the line gets looser and looser in the spool till you have a big mess on your hands. As for monofilament fishing line I use trilene XT in green but I fish heavy cover on bait casters. On spinning reel I use trilene XL. As for Flurocarbon I use Sunline on my tournaments. I hope this helps you.
I use reel magic to help with line memory. Remember to store your spools of lime out of the heat and sunlight. Also starch the line buy tieing it to a tree and slowly cranking it in after two or three good stretches. I use a Berkeley line spooler the keef tension as I put line on the spool.

Cheap ? No.
Expensive. Seaguar Tatsu
I strongly recommend you stick with braid. Use good leader stock , again Tatsu and if your interested in saving a couple of bucks then Seaguar Abraz X
And Lear to tie the FG or Alberto knot.
It’s a pain to change leaders , but it’s a necessity

Low memory and cheap price? Doesn't exist. I only have two baitcasters fully spooled with fluorocarbon; all my other reels are spooled with braid with fluoro/copoly/mono leaders, based on application. If $$ is no object, buy yourself a spool of Seaguar Tatsu (sidenote: Tackle Warehouse is currently running a 30% off ALL Seaguar lines!), the best of the best. From my experience, the best balance of price and low memory is Sunline FC Sniper; less memory than Seaguar Abrazx or Invizx. And I spritz KVD line conditoner before every outing to increase line suppleness. I also use FC Sniper as fluoro leader material.
I have been buying a lot of fishing line from reaction tackle company lately, and I have been very happy with it
Plus, if you ever get a spool of line you do not like are you think is inferior, they will gladly replace it
I have been buying their line for approximately one year, and I fish for all kinds of warm and cold water fishes
I've never heard of it maybe it's a west coast thing. I've fished trilene XT for nigh on fifty years, prefer braid for ten and Fitzgerald Vursa for one. As for Flurocarbon I ve been fishing Sunline for about three. I do most of my fishing on Lake Seminole. Heavy hydrilla grass, pepper grass, Lilly Pads stumps and logs. As well as some rocks. I tend to buy line in 1000-3000 yard spools when I can except for braid and fluorocarbon.on them 200-300 the ard spools I like the Vursa because I s aged and black in color as opposed to power pro. I've three tournaments coming up I'll be a co-angler at Lake Okaachobee, Lake Santee Cooper, and the Harris chain. Keep a tight line.

Tired of the line game. Just gave away a 1/4lb spool of braid. From now on Stren blue.
