Between flat terrain, muddy rivers with no salmon, and that very kind of temp swings in a single week...... do I really have to explain why I moved FROM KANSAS CITY, 37 years ago, to a place where I can be skiing up at Mt. Ashland Ski Resort, that has received over 100"+ in the past week or so, in about 35-40 minutes (and 4000' UP).....and I don't even own a snow shovel, 'cause it rarely does more than a "dusting", if any at all, here at my house.
And that's usually gone by early afternoon, even if we get an inch or two.
I do NOT miss the weather in the Midwest, regardless of the time of year, only wish so many friends and family weren't 2000 miles away ! Good thing there's video chat on my phone.
(Now if I could just find some good BBQ without firing up my own grill.....aaaah, I miss Snead's and Gates, even Arthur Bryant's, as well as Scavuzzo's Meat Market)
