To all Stage folk who still have
family to share the holidays with - hope everyone can get along with them, at least for Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day !
Of my five younger siblings, two
have passed and I haven't heard
'word one' from the other three
in over five years in spite of
several efforts to 'mend fences',
which were either ignored
or rejected !
So apparently, I no longer have
any family left, and I hope that everyone else can make a special effort to 'keep the peace' with
theirs, at least for the duration !
Try to enjoy and appreciate the
family you do have while you
still have them !
One good thing has happened
since then - I signed onto the
Stage ! Now (other than the few surviving friends I have left),
you folk ARE my family !

I'll be 73 in a couple of months,
but am still (usually) 23 at heart !
Dad went in 2000, Mom in
2006, my youngest brother
in 2012 and one of the twins
(youngest sisters) in 2016 !
My best friend also passed
in 2012, and two other close
buddies went in 2016 !
Although I've (mostly)been
a 'loner' for most of my life
(with the exception of those
few close friends), being
alone during this season
often brings on a deep
melancholy until after
the New Year !
If it's true that "only the good die young", then I guess I may be
around for quite awhile longer !

Well, BigA, I for one, would be proud to be called your friend. I can’t wait to actually meet you and hug your neck. Ya’ know, if you stop and think about it, you and I have a LOT in common. You may not think so, but you’ll see if you stay ‘round for awhile (till we meet).

Don't take this the wrong way as
it's not personal, but any male
who tries for a hug will be dealt
with very harshly ! Pretty sure I mentioned this once before, but
let me reiterate - I DON'T DO HUGS,
not even with male relatives and/or my closest friends ! Even with my
dad and brothers it was a warm,
firm, dry handshake - just keep your distance, as I have a strong aversion to even seeing males hugging !
Please just take my word for it -
it will NOT be well received !

my friend ! Also, anyone here is welcome to their thoughts,
attitudes or beliefs - just please
do not preach to or at me ! I have
in the past discontinued all contact with a close cousin for just that reason - due to the volatile possibilities/probabilities of violent reactions connected with sports, religion and politics I firmly refuse
to discuss any of those subjects
and will angrily walk away and
never speak to anyone again who
tries to engage me in those subjects !
