Hello all! My name is Rob. I'm new to fishing and very much excited to learn how to start catching fish instead of just feeding them one piece of bait at a time. I'm in the Columbia, SC area. Hope to learn alot from you guys!

Welcome Rob. Only fished in Lake Murray a few times and mostly for Catfish. Have a friend that lives in Irmo on the lake. If that's what you are interested in catching let me know.

So far, I just started messing with freshwater. Sorry for the late reply, work got the best of me and then I bought a new house and started working on that. Headed out to fish today for the first time since my post.

That's exactly what I'm interested in. I currently fish from the bank. Working on getting a johnboat but that's later down the road.

Called Bob and he said the cats are still in deep water, He waits on 65 deg. water before he fishes for them in 4 to 8 ft. of water. Good luck and send us some pictures
