Christmas miracle? Prayers answered?
Many of you have been aware of my friend Jonah, the 8 year old who has been battling cancer.
A man in his home town of Racine has been raising money to support local businesses through the Pandemic. Jonah’s parents own a great restaurant (Olde Madrid) in downtown Racine and were featured on one of the local News stations last night as the man awarded Jonah’s Dad (Manny) with a pile of cash to help support the business. I don’t believe the man knew anything about Jonah, nor the family struggles, but what a timely surprise. Manny and Jonah were both featured as part of the story and Jonah even answered a reporter’s question about how he was feeling. “Better than usual” was his response (I believe).
Finally, something positive on the News!
Who knows, perhaps all the prayers and positive vibes from the FS Members somehow had a hand in this as I have to believe it helped and is more than just a happy coincidence!
Merry Christmas all!

That is really great to hear, although not a surprise to me and I’m sure other believers will agree, as well.
The Bible tells us that Jesus was whipped and took stripes for our healing.
“But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.53.5.NLTThe Bible also says that a believer’s prayers DO make a difference and God will hear them.
“and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
James 5:15-16 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/jas.5.15-16.KJVFor those who may not know what “righteous” means in this verse, in the original Greek it means: a person in “right standing” with Jesus. Many on here DO match that definition, and are praying right now for the needs of others.
Praise the Lord, He hears our prayers. 🙏🏻
Just sayin’.

Jonah is certainly not out of the woods yet, but it was great to see him smile and blush like a goofy 8 year old.

Fishyaker Anne Murray released that song in 1983. I think it means more now than then. I believe in Guardian Angels n I'm sure Jonah has one sitting on his shoulder. Miracles do happen. Sure hoping for one now. 🤞👍

Anne has a beautiful voice, and that particular song comes to mind for me quite often these days.
