How many times can I use the same soft plastic?

Rookie question. I was wondering if soft plastics such are used just once, or if reusing them would affect their action somehow.

JoseRum1: You alone are the best judge of that. I have used one until it was literally bitten into pieces before changing. If fish are bitting aggressively, why take time to reload? You and the fish are the best judge. Just Sayin...RJS

I had a fish take off half a senko. Knowing it was still there I nose hooked the other half. Flipped it in n caught it.

I use them until they will no longer stay on the hook.

Sometimes, you can use part of a bait very successfully, The front of a curly tail or back of a curly tail grub make a good bait on their own when that is all that is left. Just re-hook and go for it. 1/2 of a worm sometimes works better than a whole worm.

My buddy and I mostly use Zoom trick worms. He refuses to use anything but a full worm. Where as i pinch the head off when it tears up and keep on fishing. Nine times out of ten I catch more and bigger fish. So does this tell you something. If it works, use it. Plus it saves money. Also I use his discarded worms, another save. Call me cheap but if it works so what.

I fish Wacky a lot and when the senko starts to tear I put both pieces back in the bag and use 'em on a Ned Rig.

On Tuesday I was fishing with 5 inch white yum worms. Bowfins kept biting them in half, I just adjusted them again on the hook and kept going. Caught my biggest one on a 2 inch piece that I reused. You just never know. If I didn't get any bites after a few cast then I'd replace them. Biggest that day was about 20 inches!

Super glue will repair them if torn.
