The Ignore Button

Has anyone ever used it? What happens when you do? Does the ignored person know that they're being ignored? If the ignore person posts on a post that I'm following does his post appear on there? Could get confusing if people are responding to his post and you've got no idea what they're talking about. What if they select "quote reply" and then respond. Do I see that?
I looked at my "ignore" list and there's one person on it. From a long time ago and I don't recognize the name, don't remember ever doing that. Joe somebody. That's what happens when you get "rickety".

I didn’t know Ignore was an option…

If you click on a person's name you can add them to a buddy list or you can add them to a ignore list. But I don't know how it works
