Oh yeah...I'll be right over if there are any leftovers! You left the skin on those potatoes too...and just a tad crispy...right on brother! I'm sure there were nothing but vapors left hovering over that plate when you finished!

Sorry, my friend ! I was going to suggest looking for a Culver's
Restaurant in your area but when
I checked their list of locations
I found that there is not even
ONE in your whole state !

Funny how they're spread through-
out the midwest, but some states have few (or none) as you go east
or west - for example, Wisconsin
has 143, while Wyoming has ONE
and California NONE !

While they serve cod plates/ sandwiches year-long, they
only serve walleye for the six
weeks of Lent, from Ash
Wednesday to Easter ! If you're planning any trips within that
time frame, check their website
for locations where you're going !

Local walleye surf perch. Not usually a target due to it's small size. Tastes ok but a lot of work to get a meal.

Looks tasty to Me. I’m kinda mixed on best eating Fresh water fish, I really like Crappie and Smallmouth, but have only had walleye a couple times so jury is still out on them.

OK - I do think Walleye is right up there with any freshwater fish we have in the Midwest . . . no doubt.

I also must say that I really find Crappie to be superior table quality as well, and that perch, northern pike, and sunfish to all be a fine meal too.

Walleye and Crappie are my top two, but all of those others are a fine meal as well.

I am fortunate to fish often, so I let almost all of my fish go, but I do keep good eater sized fish of all of the species I mentioned.

This thread is making me crave fish!
