I have taken up fishing as a hobby this year and truly love it. Unfortunately because of some injuries and arthritis in my fingers I am having a very hard time tying the improved clinch knot suggested as the "fishermans knot" to always know and use.
I recently switched my reel line to braid and can't believe how easy and painless the the Palomar knot is to tie. It has me really hoping there is an easier knot to tie that doesn't sacrifice too much strength so I can enjoy fishing more and not dread tying up my line as much. Thanks !

Jimbos: Forget about the encyclopedia of knots, do what you know how to do well. Stick with that until you are comfortable with a new and different know. You might purchase a book of knots, and practice new ones until you are comfortable with the new one. Just Sayin...RJS

If you find the Paloma’s easy to tie (which it is) I’d stick with it, Exceptionally strong knot. If you’re asking for a knot to attach fluoro or mono to braid the easiest with good strength retention is the Alberto knot. Have not had them fail.

Damn spellcheck.. Palomar knot.
I use polamar knot for everything except spinner baits n buzz baits. I do use Norman speed clips. Line to line I use double uni knot. Any knot use choose won't work well if not tied properly. Pick one you can tie properly 👍
For mono/fluorocarbon, is use the Berkley Trilene knot. I find it to be a very easy to tie and dependable knot.
Never had a Palomar knot fail! Stick with it.
Jimbo is asking for a good knot to join braid to mono. Several people are suggesting that he use the Palomar knot, but as far as I know the Palomar knot can’t be tied in this situation.
I find it best to use the FG knot or Uni to Uni knot. Both of these knots are small enough to easily fit through the guides on your rod.
Jim go on youtube and look at the Red Phillips knot. Easy, quick and if tied right strong. also the smallest knot I know to join braid to fluoro.
Trilene knot is good for tying on flies. You do not lose a lot of line cutting off tag ends.
I agree with Robert. Practice makes perfect and you will find several knots that you like and it will become second nature to you. Have fun fishing and I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

What bjnecht said.
Just remember that when you are cinching the Alberto knot, you need to pull on the main section of the mainline and the main section of the leader. Do this SLOWLY and the knot will be perfectly organized.
Do NOT pull on the tag end of the leader section to cinch it up.
Also, use spit (yes, saliva) on the knot before you cinch. This will ensure a knot with good strength.
Will take some practice. After the first time done correctly, you’ll never use another knot for line-to-line connection.
