Crap. Joe's got no stones. His strings are being pulled by the dying coal industry. Only reason he's not replaced by a Republican is because he's so good at kissing some coal magnate's ass.

Good for you. Same old bs. Now joe's saying he can't v**e for the build it back better bill. The dems want to put 2.3 trillion (!) dollars into g***n e****y. What? Says coal. 2.3 trillion and we don't get a dime of it?
I don't believe for a second it won't pass because every one of those lying bastards is gonna stuff their pockets with it. They just passed 1.3 trillion. How the hell do you account for 1.3 trillion dollars? You don't. That's how. It's impossible. Big ol stack of money laying there, come and get you some.

Crossing my fingers for a "One and done" repeat. What are they thinking? Our beloved Country can NOT substain this.

Spirt, Please understand no disrespect here, but just how are things on the coast? I'm in the midwest and they ain't so good. The list is so long it will only degrade the point of the post.
I don't manage my personal life in a way so I have things I can't pay for, I never managed my business that way either. I carry a morgage but if needed I could clear that. I have two charge accounts, one personal and one for my consulting firm. Both are CLEARED monthly. I don't pay intrest. I have "Things" some of them new most of them NOT. All paid for... I was given some advice many years ago , It was, Your assets need equal your liabilities our your ASS SETS in Jail! Ya kinda old school but I'm kinda old school.
It is a bit encourging to see one of our Beloved Country leadership stand up and say this is not what's best. I'm all for g***n e****y Give me the check book with 2.3 TRILLION and watch some s**t happen.
The proposal stunk to high heaven am I for one even if I'm all alone couldn't be more pleased.

I'm with you lip. I ain't takin sides here. As I said, I think they're all, every last one of em, bought and paid for by corporate America. If they don't toe that corporate line they don't last long, and they've made that such a cushy job that no one who has it wants to lose it. Bernie Sanders may be an exception, but I can't say I think much of some his ideas. I know he's one of the "poorest" Senators.
As far as term limits. That's a real sore spot with me. Seems every body wants term limits, but what they don't realize is we already have term limits. Every one of those representatives has to run for e******n every two years. Every TWO years. Senators every six. If you don't want em, FIRE them. Quit v****g for them. I don't get it. I guess no one wants term limits for their guy or gal, just mine. If you want term limits, don't ever v**e for an incumbent. Fire em all. What a message that would send.

Sprit, The only sides I'm seeing are Above or Below the water line! Wish I knew more (The real more) about the "Good old Days" Has this gone on forever? I'm 61 and only feel seasoned at best. I so agree that People (persons) that could and would really make a change to this mess we are in 180, don't stand a snow balls chance to elevate to a position to do so. Integrety seems to be a 8 ball rather than the Shinning Star I was raised to keep in constant sight. I'm not thinking what's going on was what was intended when we were told to "Turn the other cheek". I like so many others worked, and worked hard for what I have, for that I feel deserving. Just crawls a bit under my skin when I have to hear about what someone is entitled to. For 2.3 Trillion or what ever the number was couldn't we all have our own D@!! windmill? My ways like many of my peers ain't gonna change much, old dogs and all, but why can't some of values that were once un-questioned rise to the top?
Guess I just ran with what little light was apparent here cause I sure am tired of bumping around in the dark.
Hoping for a change, Not holding my breath...
Where did anyone ever learn to fix a problem by causing three new ones?

Here. This is a pretty good article. I ain't a economics expert so it don't make a lot of sense to me, but then not a lot of stuff does these days. I'm 73 and as long as I've been aware there's been talk of the notional debt. The last time there was surplus in the budget was toward the end of the Clinton administration. So in twenty some years we've gone from solvent to 28 or so trillion dollars in debt. And they just raised the debt ceiling so that they could pay the interest. Going in debt to pay the interest on your debt. How does that make sense? Makes no sense at all to me. But there we are.

Everything is awesome here in Riggins Idaho except the prices going up on everything. We don’t play the political games here with all the federal, attempted, mandates but we can’t do anything about the Biden increase in the price of EVERYTHING. That’s hitting the entire country. He needs to be sent down the road kicking gravel and take ALL of his team with him. With Obama calling the shots and Biden being the puppet things are not going to get any better. We are all seeing that on a daily basis.
You have to wonder about his followers who ask “what going on? I don’t see a problem here”🙄. They, seriously can’t be that stupid can they? I guess, maybe they can🤷‍♂️

I agree with you I am tired of spending money they don't have and saying everything is paid for, when they know full well the price will be higher taxes and higher inflation. Part of growing up is you don't always get everything that you want some times you have to save for it and sometimes you just have to figure you can't afford it. The other thing I h**e are these huge bills that are thousands of pages long and has all sorts of stuff in it that are not really connected togeather. I think bills should be single issue and short enough to read and clear enough to understand and let the ones that both parties can support pass and the others fail until they can make a good case for it. I'd do away with the fillabuster but would require a 60% yes v**e to pass anything. sure a lot of things would not pass but those that did pass would be things most of the country would agree upon. I am sure there are things in the build back better act that if they were in a stand alone bill would pass but are held hostage with this take all or nothing mentality that exists, how can there be any bypartisism when the things that are agreed upon are kept from passing by insisting on liking them to things that are not agreed upon. I for one am very happy for "Joe" I believe he stands on principles even if his party is against him, I wish more polititians on both side were willing to stand on principle and not be bullied by their party. I personally think if a centrest like Joe manchin or Tulsi Gabbard would run for president on an independent ticket they would have v**ers from both parties v**e for them and most likely would win e******n next time. People are tired of both extreems and party politics
