New to the post, just retired and looking for crappie and bass fishing.... but mainly crappie. also teaching my self how to roll cast in fly fishing.

Lived in Raleigh for 20 yrs and now down at coast.

Raleigh has two major lakes with plenty of bass and crappie too. Falls lake on North side of town and Jordan Lake on south west side. Both lakes recently on TV shows showing big bass tournament days.

Yes, saw the shows..the lakes are huge and I'm a bank fisherman only. any ideas on areas to start on Jordon since it's closest would be very helpful. And Shearon Harris Lake if you have in specific areas to begin.
