Little Bobby (who's just getting
toilet trained) runs into the parlor
where his mother is entertaining some of her neighborhood friends, exclaiming -
"Mommy ! Mommy ! I have to go
to the bathroom !"
Trying to teach her son a little etiquette, she pulls him aside and
tells him -
" Honey, next time you have to 'go'
and we have company, just tell me quietly in my ear - 'I have to whisper'
and I'll know you have to pee !"
The following Saturday evening comes and grandpa is babysitting !
He puts Bobby to bed around 9:00
and falls asleep on the sofa - about
an hour later, Bobby comes up to
him and tells him - "Grandpa, I have
to whisper !"
Gramps tells him - "Whisper in my
ear !" whereupon little Bobby
proceeds to whizz in his ear !
Mom and Dad get home about
1:00 AM and gramps tells his
daughter about the little mis-
understanding and resulting
incident ! - "Oh, Dad ! I'm so sorry
I didn't think to tell you - I taught
him to tell me in code that he
needed the bathroom when we
have company over !"
"That's okay, dear - no harm done !
After tonight, though, I'm just really glad he didn't have to shout !"

day, he's in there by himself trying
to do his 'business' when the toilet seat and cover come down on him - his mother, upon hearing his
screams of pain, comes rushing
into the bathroom asking him
what's wrong ?
"Mommy ! I was trying to pee
when the seat came down on
it ! It hurts !"

honey, but what do you want me
to do about it ?"
"Kiss it and make it better ?"
"Well, I'll be ! If you aren't getting
to be more and more like your
father every day !"
