First time fishing in December!

I started an exchange regarding modifications I had done to a 12 foot johnboat. That began an excellent conversation between several Jon boat owners that were very insightful. Some asked that I would post a photo now and again of our fishing success.

Here are a couple of photos from yesterday’s excursion (Dec 10) on Bull Shoals Lake, in Branson, Missouri. I have never fished during the month of December! We have had several days where the temp has hit 70°, so I have hit the water with my daughter.

Very nice to be catching both the smallies and wallies! Kind of a gloomy looking day, but often times that is best for fishing! Glad that you got out and also managed to get time on the water in December!

First I'll tell you again what a nice job you did on the boat. Looks like y'all had a nice day of fishing also. I have a measuring board like yours. Good job all he way around 🦫

Nice Job BT, you can't ask for better than 70°s in December! Congratulations to you and your daughter, catching Smallies and 'Eyes. Thanks for the pictures.

If I had 70-degree weather to fish in in December I would get out more. Here in Oregon, it is steehead season and windy, rainy, and cold. 49 for the high today. You should enjoy the warm weather and fish more often. I am going to be out in the cold and rain trying to get lucky. Nice fish, thanks for sharing the pictures.
