Welcome to Lake Isabella, heart of the Kern River Valley, California’s best kept secret. With many activities, including fishing, hiking, camping, windsurfing, skiing, or just relaxing, the lake itself has much to offer. Don’t miss one of California’s largest wild west celebrations, Whiskey Flat Days, four days of fun for the entire family. The area is in the southern end of the Sierra Nevada range and the lake itself is located in low mountains at an elevation of approximately 2,500 feet. Also, home of the Isabella Lake Fishing Derby, one of the nations largest trout derby. With the “wild & scenic” Kern River flowing into and out of Isabella Lake, there are amazing sights and great times to be had by all.
