I just purchased a new Skeeter Solera. As an avid bass fisherman it was tough to go the fish and Ski route, but the Ultimate compromise to do what I love. Plus everyone knows Happy wife, happy life! 😊. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas around how to convert a single livewell into a dual? Unfortunately this boat only has one and wondering πŸ€” if it can be done. Appreciate any insight

There is little air pumps etc to use in buckets/chests may be easier and cost effective if want additional live wells.

Hard to answer not knowing what your wanting to do with them. If it's just to separate the fish from the bait make a wire mesh separater that will fit snug in the middle of the live well. Home depot sells stainless steel screen mesh.

Nice rig JD, cut a piece of plexiglass to split the livewell, cut some 3/4inch holes in it to allow water to flow between the halves. Make a couple suction cup brackets to hold it in place.

JD , Fredfish is spot on splitting the live well. Just might check that hole diameter. My guess is you want a bait well / live well. If that’s the case . Size the holes such, just may need more smaller holes.

It's to have a bass tournament set up with a livewell for the boater and one for the nonboater. Bass fishing.

When you do that aren’t the two of you a team? Just curious. If a team why need 2 wells?

Well, I could easily be wrong, but with such a super fishing craft, why be worried about not having 2 live wells? That looks like a real 'honey'! Just Sayin...RJs

They have to keep their fish separated, 2 categories, boater and non boater.
3/4"-1" holes should be fine JD. Use a hole saw, at low RPMs to avoid melting the Plexi.

Fred as usual has a good practical idea.
I had a boat I built one time that had dry storage compartment . I turned this into an insulated cooler during the build. Added a drain into bilge so drainage was no problem.
If you have such a storage compartment you could do the pumps , plumbing , etc to make a second livewell.
It would be a heck of a job, but doable it you are good with your tools.
Real nice boat by the way.

Thanks for the tips guys. I made try to plexiglass insert if I can fabricate it just right. Something I could slide in and out would be ideal. Ben your idea is intriguing for sure but I don't have skills like that. πŸ˜€

Nice rig JD, my only suggestion would be to screw in some aluminum channel that you’d be able to slide the plexiglass glass into.

Nice pics. That rounded area on the left side of
the baitwell is designed to hold the strainer bucket from a minnow bucket.

For tournament fishing, I would go the aerated cooler method, that would also put the live well near the second fisherman. Portable assembled live wells are available as well, and ready to go. I am not sure where, as I bought mine used at a garage sale. If you are not in a tournament, you can ID who caught what just using culling tags.
