I am asking this question because in the past I have done some crazy things just to see if I could fish 🎣 a particular place for example I ran ropes down a cliff to a area to fish I fell off a cliff and got hurt luckily I wasn’t hurt bad and even now there is a place I want to fish but the said I’m crazy because it’s dangerous and of course she don’t want me hurt so I’m putting this out there too all what are some of your crazy adventures just to find fish

Kayak fishing in itself in any waters is somewhat on the crazy side. Inches from the water, knowing only to well what lurks below and yet i Love yak fishing.

I would guess the dumbest thing that I have done is to push my 16' flat bottom across the ice in order the catch some early ice out walleyes.

My buddy John and I hiked back into a remote lake, across telephone poles which were there to help folks across a marsh and a cranberry bog. We then had to “borrow” a boat which was bolted and locked to a tree. It was worth it for a half day of the best LM fishing I have ever had. It was darn near a bass on every cast.

See that’s what I’m talking about going the extra or being crazy to get to a location where you believe might have a good catch I guess since I see such a large amount of viewers the majority must be chicken 🐔 to admit that they did something crazy I’m disappointed

Way back I had a Friend tell me that we needed to use my canoe to get to a private land locked lake. You could fish it, but could not walk to it. We put the canoe in at the creek that flowed out of the lake and paddled in. Caught and release lots of small chain pickerel. Then paddled back out and put the canoe back on the top of the car.

This is not about fishing but have a West Point buddy that retrieved a wood duck that he had shot. There was skim ice on the lake and I said we’ll have to get the boat. His response was that it will take too long and we’ll mess up the morning. He took off all of his clothes and simply said just have them ready when I get out. He brought it in like a labrodar retriever. Didn’t have cell phones then but it’s an image I’ll NEVER forget.

Pushed as in you were out side the boat? Or pushed as in from inside the boat?

When I was dating my future Wife in my 25,26 years old , my Father in Law loved fishing and frogging, when water levels went down in some of the bigger irrigation canals ,our 10'to12' bamboo poles with frog gigs on the end couldnt reach the frogs down on bankweeds ,,,(keep in mind these dirt canals were V shaped) we came up with an idea only fishermen could think of. And this was always done at nite ,more frogs out ,,Id put on my safety harness from work for when working in heighths,, connect a rope to the harness ring and the other end to the bumper of his truck,, I'd hang down the side of the canal/ditch with the gig ,get 1 raise the pole to my BIL,he'd take it off and FIL would drive forward a little and repeat the process over and over ! BIL was also in charge of the spotlight,, we'd take half a gunnysack full of bulldogs !! I could accomplish almost anything after a six pack of Budweiser !!😀😁🐸🐸
