Hello, I've been on the side lines for a while thought I say hi. My area lakes are low at close to 50% or less so fishing has been hit and miss. Anyone have any hints of were fish go when water is going down a foot or more a week.

Welcome back E 308. Can't help you, but quite a few out your way should be up later. Hang in there.

Hi E308, lots of your fellow Cali people here, and many fighting the receding water. Good luck out there and remember pictures if you find some fish. One would think that the fish would be concentrated, with a smaller area to roam.

lakes in tx [ all but 1 man made] go up and down every year. there were maps of a lot of the lakes you could buy where tackle sold. they showed depths at full level and ares where there were creeks before flooding. they were a great help before the advent of afffordable sonar. if you read them carefully you could even locate structure. cant find a map? try traversing the lake and look for the deepest water. might help. tx lakes are pretty shallow; they go down fast. when they get real low the ramps are useless. hope you dont get drydocked good luck

Good to know, but haven't been in the water since. Maybe when the weather clears we'll try again.
