So yesterday, Jordan and I are fishing the pillars under Lost Bridge Road. After Jordan catches his usual limit of crappie, I finally caught another ugly three pound drum. Jordan let’s out a final cast and brings up a 13 pound flathead. I had the honor of netting him. I was jealous once again. Well we headed into shore. Jordan and Zoey,the black lab, headed home as did I.
Twenty minutes later, Jordan calls me in a breathless voice. I ask what’s wrong? Jordan says, guess what I found. I says search me. He says he’s gutting the flathead to filet, and finds sealed stainless steel oval the size of an egg! I said what’s in it. Jordan says can’t open it without a saw. He goes on to say it’s engraved with : “Property of Detroit Italian-American Social Club, a private club. Members Only. 1413 7th Avenue Detroit, Michigan”. In smaller print underneath “J.Hoffa”. (No offense intended to Italian-Americans.). Thanks Drewbarrick 😳🐳
