I’m sitting on the south tree row where the green turns grey. The buck comes out of the woods and is walking northwest. I’m blasting away on my grunt tube and he gets out 345 yards, he never hears me. He walks across to the west tree row and my grandson starts grunting on his to avail. He tries one last time as loud as he could. The buck turns his way and on an all out run heads his way. I’ve been watching this whole thing play out and thinking he’s going to run right by him. He stops him in his tracks and his arrow is gone. It turns and is running back to the woods it came out on an all out run, around 400 yards before slowing down getting wobbly and tipping over. He can’t see him because of a hill. He calls means says he shot a buck and wasn’t sure how good the shot was cause he didn’t see the arrow fly. I told him it was indeed a good shot, he tipped over in front of me. What a treat that was to watch, totally awesome!

Congrats to your grandson on a fine buck! From the look of his neck he must have been in full rut. A beauty Ruttinbuck, I’ll bet you’re damn proud of your grandson.

Nice buck ! Looks like a hefty one -
how much did he weigh ? Hard to
tell from a photo, but I'd be guessing in the 175 to 190 lb. range !

My friend and owner of Feasters Deer Processing said it would weigh 200+ field dressed. This kid has a thing about shooting big bodied deer. He has shot 2 does that field dressed in the 200 pound range.
