My wife wants to k own what I want for Xmas, I am thinking about asking for a pair of waders, so I can fish the river near where we live without crossing through private property and risking having shotguns pointed in my general direction... the problem with this that my body is essentially built from spare parts... my legs are super short compared to the rest of me (I wear 40Wx30L pants) my feet are normal length (10-11 depending on what brand), but 4E width... there are like 2 brands of shoes I can buy that fit without buying them 3 sizes too big. Does anyone know where I can find boot waders in wide widths? Or should I get stocking foot waders and try to find separate boots that fit?

Hope you live close to a Bass Pro Shop. You need to go try them on somewhere. Cabalas, BPS, Sports Authority, Field and Stream.
Look at LaCrosse - they make a generous size boot foot.
For me that would be a no brainer if chest or waist style. I would ask for breathable stocking foot waders with or without your body parts. The only time I wear booted waders is when sitting in a blind duck hunting. My hunting waders are oversized very heavy wet suit material chest waders with room for hot hands in the boots. As for my stocking waders, I purchase a pair of Simms stocking foot guide waders when I was guiding. They were expensive dollar wise even with my Simms guide discount. In reality, they were very reasonable given the time I have had them. I used them guiding daily then for fishing when I retired. and now for launching my boat on makeshift ramps. They are still dry and patch free. I purchased them about 20 years ago directly from Simms.
