Toothy critter like trigger fish take bites right out of plastics. Plenty of others with big bites but triggers are know nibblers!

I fish in my own pond. I often feel good bites on plastic worms and when I get the bait back to the boat the end of the wom is gone. I've determined its turtles. The pond is full of big snappers. I've actually caught a few and got them up to the boat. I cut the line and let them have the bait. I've seen people bit by them and no way I'm messing with them. I've caught them on exactly the same bait as in the picture.
