What is a great soft bait other than worms to use in fresh water lakes in central Fl?

Hogy Original 10” or 7”.
Catches anything that swims. 😊

Thanks, my local tackle shop hasn't heard of them. Can you send a picture? Perhaps I can find them on the internet.

I prefer “bone” or “sexy green” Original 7”. They’re best on a 8/0, 10/0 swimbait hook with a corkscrew mount.

Bring the hook through and just the tip buried because the lure is tough and can be difficult to set the hook.
Amazon and EBay have them as well.

Thanks Bob, I'll give it a try. I usually use a 6.0 or 4.0 hook for bass.

Get set up to use Shaky Head rig with shaky head plastic worms. That head will go down in the grass and the tail of the worm will stick straight up out of the grass. Move it up and down slowly and bass will go for it. There is a plastic worm that looks like a bi Louisiana Pink worm that I have had good luck with.
