What an awesome day of fishing. No wonder the Delta is always in the top 10 of Bassmaster's top 25 bass lakes. We caught more than 20 bass like the one in the pic. Three main rivers flow into the Delta and the water temp was 50 to 54 but in the sloughs it was 61 to 65. Prime rib sandwiches for lunch at the rusted prop. We saw Sea Lions, Eagles, Ospreys, Falcons, Geese and Ducks for days. We covered 54 miles of water on our trip. Only the 3rd time I've fished there but my new home is only 1 hour and 10 minutes away. Can you even imagine the decision I have to make when going fishing now? 1 hour North to Clear Lake or 1 hour 10 minutes South to the Delta!
Decisions decisions. Sounds like it's a win win either way. Nice fish.
Good pics. Wish I had you same problem. lol. Good luck

Definitely sounds like you have found a new hot spot to fish in...among what may become many others! Great story and photos!

Thanks Fred. Love my boat but can't beat a day on my buddy Bill's Z19. Caught a couple on a jerkbait but most drop shot a Fluke in Bluegill flash color. Bill was just as successful with Texas rigged finesse worm in green pumpkin with a chartreuse tail. After all I've been through the last five years I paid my dues to be where I'm at today. When I retire in a couple of years I'm going mobile living lake to lake a year at a time until I get to old to do it anymore.

That sounds like a Heavenly plan my friend. I hope you achieve it. I love the Nitros myself, excellent bang for the buck. Thinking about one after retirement. Have some fun and be safe buddy. Keep the pictures coming.
