I fished there for 2 weeks about 15 years ago. What I remember most
was the excessive heat -- but I'm from WA state, so . . .

Not me but sounds like a good time.

Probably won’t get sick from that😂
Well, gentlemen, the closer to the Equator the warmer it gets, but from my experience fishing on the Amazon River you will get a shower around noon to 1:00 every day and that will cool you, if not chill you. So then you have to decide whether to wear rain gear, or get soaked. Either one has drawbacks. If you wear rain gear, after the shower you will get hot again and sweat in your rain gear. Or if you don't put on rain gear, you will get soaked and chilled from the showers but will dry out quickly afterward. No simple solution. I finally decided to just get soaked and dry out. Lumpy,
I'm going on a NCL cruise the week of 12/4. I'm looking at the deep sea fishing excursion they offer in Belize. What week are you going?

I stayed a week the first time, and caught a lot of fish. Cuders were strong and fast, caught a lot of them, a few Wahoo's, and the real fun was on a fly, catching bonefish. Other times was just fun, with a few of my lady friends.

I've been on several cruise ship fishing excursions. You are better off doing your own research and planning your own trip to fish. Cruise ship excursions are planned for the lowest common denominator the non-fisherman who wants the experience not someone who knows fishing.

Jack,
I agree regarding making your own arrangements is usually better. But, when I ran this by our travel agent, she said there has been some questionable charters since the COVID issue. There is better control and screening going through the ships excursion program. Here's hoping for a good outcome.
Report to follow!
Thanks!
If there are flats there is probably some decent fishing to be had. Not sure about a cruise line island but have fished turneffe , placencia and ambergris with pretty good success. Hope they don’t rent out jet skis:)
For fishing, Ambergris seems to be the place. Fish on the outside of the reef, for wahoo's, and the inside for cuda's.
Lumpy,
I signed up for the fishing trip on Monday in Honduras.
