Never fished Puyallup though ave watched them combat fish or conga line. I have a boat and try to get them in area 11 before they get there. I do fish Carbon. I park in Orting and ride my bike to Voight Creek. Sometimes they swim right up by your feet in the shallows. Have foul hooked a few. Now I fish a little lower in the deeper water floating eggs from one of my Buoy 10 catches or a bead. Still trying to figure it out but it's better than a day at the office(even though I am retired)

Thanks Bigbum, I fly fish that same stretch. Rivers blown out from recent rain. I avoid the combat fishing...retired as well and get out to avoid fools😆. Chambers creek today! My son and I are looking at investing in a small boat. Be good.

I'll have to pic your brain a little regarding the local fly. I'm intrigued to try Naches and Yakima. Most of my fly fishing experience goes back to living in Montana for 27 years. I have a 19'6 Northwood so been mainly focusing on Sound and Columbia River. I have been looking for fishing partners, my wife is a trooper but 8+ hours on the water tests her. I have no problem launching, but its a bit of a chore if I hook up, besides its a lot more fun with company. I actually placed an add on CL for potential fishing partner. You would not believe some of the weirdness out there, but I did meet a couple guys that were on the same page as myself and we had a couple good outings. Took the post down when I started getting propositions from ladies, gay hookups, etc..................... What part of fishing partner do you not understand?

Ha ha. I get it completely...I prefer not going alone because I have a brand new 300 g back ( fusion). I reley on my son. He goes out to the big rivers...and does well...Not interested in anything but good company, bullshitting and fishing. Too old for drama.I'm a great chef too😆.

Yup, know what you're saying. 45 years in construction took its toll. So......walk softly and carry a big......fishing pole

I got scolded by some snowflakes for using the bull excrement in a previous post. My apologies for offending any butterflys....at least someone reads .

Yep. Tons of rain....nasty on the river. Lots of spare time to clean and condition fly gear. Your never too old to fish. You get old if you don't .
