Hi, folks ! - Meet Medusa ! She's a
25 ft./2 in. reticulated python and
the current Guinness Book of World Records title holder for the longest
living snake in the World !
Third photo is of a critter going
by the name of 'Titanoboa', the remains of which were found in a mining pit in Columbia, and which
(fortunately) has been extinct for about 60 million years - it measured 42 ft. in length and is estimated to have weighed up to 2,500 lbs. ! It is thought that it may have fed on
crocs up to 12 ft. long (see photo)
and turtles up to 5 ft. in diameter ! (Sounds like the one in the movie 'Anaconda' !)

Now that’s what I’d call a SNAKE!!!!😬right there.
Snakes don't bother me much, although I have yet to see a
rattler after six months in Florida,
a year in Virginia, and a total of nineteen years in Arizona where
we have about thirteen sub-
species of rattlesnakes !
Spiders, on the other hand,
I despise ! No fear, just loathing
and disgust, as they're creepy and
silent ! A rattler will usually give
you a warning before they strike, whereas a spider could bite you
in your sleep and you wouldn't
even be aware of its' presence
until after you'd been bitten !
I know that cottonmouths and copperheads don't have rattles,
but we don't have either species
here, so they don't count !
