I like how people from across the country have different words for the same thing. Being an educator I like the exploration of language. My question is of backlash, crows nest.. My grandfather taught me that one of those was an Andy Gumph. I teach a fishing class to inner city kids in Milwaukee and this is the term I teach. Any other colloquialisms?

It’s a beepen beepety beep beep.

A beepen pain in the beep.

A learning curve

A learning experience

A reason to use spinning open face reels

Birds nest or backlash is actually what I call it.

Danger do you use hydrant water to fill a kids pool add feeder goldfish and then use mini ultra light to practice catch and release.

Faucets in commercial buildings on the outside of it are also called hydrants but I have a feeling I know exactly what type your talking about. Dad was a fireman.

We have parks with ponds. Some have blue gills and lm bass. Others have goldfish that have been released and reproduce. A lesson on invasive species. We catch the goldfish and give them to a local pet shop who sells them to suburbanites for their back yard ponds

You’d only catch salmon trying to swim up that stream

They love to feel the tug on the end of the line, even if it’s a three inch bullhead.. 7 to 9 year olds are easy to please. Get kids outside, experience the world around them is always a good thing

YES where pancake breakfasts and other fundraisers kept the town safer from fire and emergencies that required EMTs .

The lawnmower thing you posted one guy did what you said but not using a mower… stated god told him to.

There is more stories from that town than many would claim fake.

One kid decided to use nair hair remover on his entire body. Lots of TCs . Structure fires. Railroad hobos etc. list is very long.
